The Grand Canyon and DuBeau International Hostels in Flagstaff Arizona are a great place to be! The hostels are within 2 blocks of each other in downtown Flagstaff.

Work 6 days per week, 2-3 hours per day (beginning at 10 am), in exchange for
a dorm bed - yeah, FREE rent!
(The work is housekeeping; making up beds, cleaning bathrooms etc. We do have high standards and expectations; that's why we have a reputation for
being one of the cleanest hostels around! We are constantly striving for consistency and a quality product)

We buy the dishsoap, toilet paper, garbage bags, laundry soap etc, and we pay the utilities!
We generally hire work exchange staff for a one week trial period to start. If everyone is happy after one week, we will offer work for an extended period of time.
Paid positions such as tour guides, front desk staff, and maintenance personel may become available for qualified individuals. We almost always hire from within for these positions and all of our staff is first trained in our housekeeping department.
We are preparing to re-open the DuBeau Route 66 International Hostel in early March 2010 for the season (March - October) and will be hiring 1-2 front desk attendants. We are actively looking for friendly, energetic, detail oriented "team players" to join our hostel family. All desk staff is required to work in the housekeeping department first, for at least 2 weeks, to gain an understanding of our standards and procedures, and then may be given an opportunity to advance to a desk position. All applicants for desk positions must be eligible to work in the USA and have no criminal record (we may conduct background checks).
