| Our tour departs from the hostel lobby at 9AM. After traveling through the beautiful pine forest, you'll arrive at the Grand Canyon Village around 10:30. Our first stop is the historic Bright Angel Lodge, which sits directly on the south rim of the canyon. The lodge, constructed of log and native stone, was designed by architect Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter. It opened its doors in 1935 and has been housing travelers ever since. Ok, enough with the history. It's finally time to get your first glimpse of the magnificent, immense, Grand Canyon! |

and take in the view from the top.

Sadly, it's time to say good-bye to the Grand Canyon and head east.
